By using or subscribing to our site you agree to these terms of use. We recommend that you print a copy of these terms for future reference.

We reserve the right to revise the content of our site (including the services offered by us) and these terms of use by posting the amendments on this site. Every time you wish to use our site, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time. By continued access to and use of our site, you agree to any such amendments. These terms were most recently updated on 16 January 2023.

We also reserve the right to seek all remedies available at law and in equity for violations of these terms of use, including the right in our sole discretion to deny access to our site or any part of it without notice and to decline to provide this site to any user.

You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our site through your internet connection are aware of these terms of use and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.

The following additional terms may apply to you:

Any provision of goods or services by us will be covered by a separate contract in each case.

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We will try to give reasonable notice on our website if this happens.

We may suspend our site

Our site is made available free of charge. We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted.

We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our site for business and operational reasons. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal.

You are only authorised to visit, view and to retain a single copy of pages of this site solely for your own individual use and non-commercial purposes, and you shall not duplicate, download, publish, modify or otherwise distribute or exploit any material on this site for any purpose other than for your own individual, non-commercial use unless otherwise specifically authorised by us.

You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text.

Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of content on our site must always be acknowledged (except where the content is user-generated).

If you print off, copy, download, share or repost any part of our site in breach of these terms of use, your right to use our site will cease immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made.

Access to and use of password protected and/or secure areas of this site is restricted to authorised users only.

If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.

We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.

Unauthorised individuals attempting to access these areas of the site may be subject to legal action. If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user identification code or password, you must promptly notify us at dataprotection@edfman.com.

No text or data mining or web scraping

You shall not conduct, facilitate, authorise or permit any text or data mining or web scraping in relation to our site or any services provided via, or in relation to, our site. This includes using (or permitting, authorising or attempting the use of):

  • Any “robot”, “bot”, “spider”, “scraper” or other automated device, program, tool, algorithm, code, process or methodology to access, obtain, copy, monitor or republish any portion of the site or any data, content, information or services accessed via the same.
  • Any automated analytical technique aimed at analysing text and data in digital form to generate information which includes but is not limited to patterns, trends and correlations.

The provisions in this clause should be treated as an express reservation of our rights in this regard, including for the purposes of Article 4(3) of Digital Copyright Directive ((EU) 2019/790).

This clause shall not apply insofar as (but only to the extent that) we are unable to exclude or limit text or data mining or web scraping activity by contract under the laws which are applicable to us.

Exclusions and limitations

We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. The remainder of this section is subject to this first paragraph. Any provision of goods or services by us will be covered by a separate contract in each case and different limitations and exclusions of liability will apply to these (as set out in the applicable separate contract).

The information on this site is provided ‘as is’ and is provided for general information only. It is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. You must obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the content on our site.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no representations or warranties of any kind whatsoever (implied or otherwise) with respect to this site or its contents and disclaim all such representations and warranties.

Furthermore, the information contained on this site may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. We therefore cannot, and do not, guarantee, represent or warrant to you that this site, its contents and related graphics published on this site are accurate or complete and/or appropriate to you or your business.

All liability howsoever arising for any such inaccuracies or errors is expressly excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Neither we, any of our affiliates nor any of our respective directors, officers, employees, agents or subcontractors, nor any other representatives will be liable for loss or damage (whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if reasonably foreseeable) arising out of or in connection with these terms of use, including the use of or inability to use this site or use of or reliance on any content displayed on our site. This is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including (without limitation) compensatory, loss of data, income or profit, loss of anticipated savings, business interruption, loss of goodwill, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties and any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

We will not be responsible for any loss or damage that could result from interception by third parties of any information made available to you via this site.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, and subject to the first paragraph of this section, in all circumstances, our maximum liability under these terms of use shall be limited to £100.

Each of the above exclusions or limitations shall be construed as a separate, and severable, provision of these terms of use.
